Jam Session in Black and White Photography

I was at Batik Cafe today. It has Musical Jam Session every Sunday . I didn’t feel well though – don’t know, I had this feverish feeling – but I was okay.

Anyway the music was great. It’s a jam session – everyone can take part and play. I didn’t have my guitar with me , so I just chatted around with people.

Deva greeted me – he’s the one who told me about this weekly event – he is the drummer of the home band. I get to know the band better this time. They all are great musicians.

While the band performed I was busy taking photograph. Yeah, still with my old FinePix 9500 – Fuji Camera I did “point and shoot” technique . Is that a technique?  For now I concentrate on balance and composition only when shooting.  Can’t wait to get a Canon. So feel free to throw “hot chilly” critics on my face. :)

Here they are after I converted them to black and white. Just looks better.

So what do you think? Please share your thought with me – so I can be a better photographer.

  3. Love black & white photos, they look really good. Especially love the last one where the guy in front is not in focus but the guy behind is. Love the natural look, well done Cha
